Student Involvement & Organizations

  • National Education Association

    Teacher quality, community outreach & political action are the underlying areas of focus of this student organization. It is in these areas that our members and affiliates sponsor programs, educate on issues, and affect change.

  • International Students in Education

    This organization aims to advocate for international students, both undergraduate and graduate, in the School of Education and Human Sciences. It intends to be a safe space for those who experience culture shock, discrimination, and marginalization within the School and beyond. It also provides academic and social support for international students. Contact Hyesun Cho, associate professor for more information.

Graduate Teaching Assistantship

Program applicants and current students can apply for a Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA) in the Department of Educational Psychology. Applications are considered each spring for GTA positions in the next academic year. The application is updated late fall or early spring with anticipated openings for the next academic year. Current students and applicants are then notified by email that the application is officially open. The deadline is 3/1.

The Achievement & Assessment Institute (AAI) at the University of Kansas exists to improve the performance of students, adults and public agencies throughout local, state and national communities.
