Biography

Dr. Howard Wills is a Professor in the Educational Psychology Department and Associate Research Scientist at Juniper Gardens Children’s Project (JGCP). He received his doctoral training at KU and also has an M.B.A. from KU and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. His current research interests include evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions for students with challenging behavior, development and evaluation of multi-tiered systems of support and classroom management interventions, and technology based self-monitoring to support children and adults with disabilities. Over 18 years at JGCP, Dr. Wills has been fortunate to have been Principal or Co-Principal Investigator for over $25 million in federal education grants. This work has been carried out with colleagues across the country and has been widely published. Among his current projects, Dr. Wills is leading work to scale up the self-monitoring intervention of I-Connect (https://iconnect.ku.edu) and the classroom management intervention of CW-FIT (https://cwfit.ku.edu).
