Wednesday, February 03, 2021

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas School of Education & Human Sciences has three programs ranked in the overall top 15 among the nation’s best in the 2021 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Online Programs,” released Jan. 26.

The school’s online master’s degree in special education ranked again at No. 1. The online master’s degree in educational administration ranked No. 13 overall (up from 22 last year), and the online master’s degree in curriculum & instruction ranking remained at No. 15 overall.

“Given the trend of so many graduate students moving into the online space, we are proud to be able to offer excellent online graduate programs that serve students’ needs,” said Rick Ginsberg, dean of the school. “And not just in this region but also across the country.”

The school’s online program rankings this year also include No. 15 overall for veterans. The full U.S. News & World Report rankings are available online here.

In addition to the recent “Best Online Programs” rankings, U.S. News & World Report releases its “Best Graduate Schools” rankings each March and its “Best Colleges” rankings in September. In the most recent graduate rankings, KU has 48 programs ranked in the top 50 among public institutions. In the most recent college rankings, KU ranks 124th among all institutions.

The KU School of Education & Human Sciences is a nationally ranked school, preparing educators and human science professionals as leaders.
