Biography

Heather Rasmussen, PhD has a Master's and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor's degree in Communications Studies and Psychology from the University of Iowa. She completed a two-year National Institutes of Health-funded postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular behavioral medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Carnegie Mellon University. She is a licensed psychologist in Kansas. Her research in health psychology and positive psychology has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Annals of Behavioral Medicine, Emotion, and the Journal of Personality and in book chapters/encyclopedias such as The Encyclopedia of Positive Psychology, Positive Psychological Assessment, and Courage.
